Complaint Redressal
  1. Complaint registers are available at all the 33/11 KV Substations of UPCL in Uttarakhand.
  2. The complaints can also be lodged on phones.
  3. Time schedules has been formed for redressal of each category of complaints.
  4. Consumers can also lodge their complaints with the CONSUMER GRIEVANCE REDRESSAL FORUM functional in the respective Garhwal and Kumaon Zones of Uttarakhand as below:

Consumers may submit all electricity - related complaints for the redressal before the Forum except for the following :-

  1. Unauthorized use of electricity as described under Section 126 of the Electricity Act.
  2. Crime and Punishment as described under Section 135 to 139 of the said Act.
  3. Accidents related to Power Supply/ Distribution or use of electricity and matters related to realization of Outstanding arrears of etc where there is no dispute related to Electricity Bills as described under Section 161 of the said Act.

In case the aggrieved Consumer is not satisfied with the decision of the above Forum he/ she, may appeal to the UERC appointed Electricity Ombudsman under the provision of Section - 42 (6) of Electricity Act 2003 within 60 days against the decision of the said Forum as per the contact details given below:-
